Wow, it has been a long time since I read a Kannada poem. This worked fine for me since I speak Kannada at home, but never learned how to read or write. I did my entire high school Sanskrit in English. My early schooling was all out of state.
Your style seems to be North Karnataka style I felt with your usage of the word 'Belaka'. And the commenter below is right. It sounds like the song he has described.

Nice one with good feelings.  I saw the shadows of "ILidu bA tAyee, ILidu bA" in the entire poem.  I suggest you to use kannada fonts. You can down load "Baraha" from www.baraha.com. But save it in jpg format and post on Sulekha. That way, those who do not have "Baraha" in their system can also read it.

I too have written many Kannada / English poetry and are available in Sulekha - Pls do read them and give your feed back.
